GP Hub Venue
The current vaccination centre for people registered at GPs in our local area is at the Jain Community Centre, 667/669 Stockport Road, M12 4QE. Invitation to this centre will come according the schedule below by telephone or SMS text message from the GP surgery.
National Mass Vaccination Centre
One of the nation’s seven mass vaccination centres has opened at the Etihad Stadium Tennis Centre – invitations for this venue are currently sent out to eligible people by letter with instructions on how to book into this. You may have received a letter if you are aged over 80 years.
Other venues
Other local venues may become available in coming weeks including venues run by community pharmacies. We are currently working hard to finalise plans for people who cannot travel to a vaccination centre. Vaccinations are only available on the NHS and is free of charge – please report any suspicious calls or text messages offering the vaccine for a charge.
Priority Group 1 – Care home residents and workers
Vaccinations will have been offered to all our care home residents by the end of this coming week.
Priority Group 2A – all those 80 years of age and over
Invitations have been delivered to all people 80 years and over registered at our practice either as a letter from the NHS, or a phone call or text from the practice. If you or a relative in this priority group have not received an invitation, please contact the practice.
Priority Group 2B – frontline health and social care workers
If you fall into this group, then your workplace is likely to have given you details of how to arrange your vaccination, otherwise please contact the practice stating your profession and place of work.
Priority Group 3 – all those 75 years of age and over
Invitations are currently being sent out this coming week by telephone and sms text message. Please do not contact the practice but await your invitation.
Other priority groups
Invitations will follow soon for those age 70 years and over and for anyone under 70 years who has been told to shield (clinically extremely vulnerable) people shielding. Please await your invitation and check for updates on our practice news page.
